AL SHINDAGHA MUSEUM: STORY OF THE CREEK

IMMERSIVE MULTIMEDIA EXHIBITION – DUBAI

WORK DESCRIPTION:

Located on the historic banks of the Dubai Creek, the Al Shindagha Museum is a world-class cultural institution dedicated to telling the story of the Emirate’s birth. STARNO is honored to have collaborated with FLY STUDIO on this prestigious project, helping to create the digital soul of the exhibition.

DIGITAL HERITAGE RECONSTRUCTION
Before the Burj Khalifa pierced the clouds, Dubai was a humble settlement of pearl divers and fishermen. Working alongside FLY STUDIO, our team set out to travel back in time and digitally reconstruct this lost world. We developed extensive pre-visualization concepts and final 3D environments that depict the city’s evolution—from the quiet stillness of the desert and the underwater depths of pearl beds to the bustling trade of the early Creek.

THE 8K CHALLENGE
To provide a truly immersive experience for museum visitors, the content is projected across multiple walls, wrapping the audience in history. To achieve the level of detail required for such a large-scale installation, our team rendered complex 3D scenes at staggering resolutions exceeding 8,000 pixels wide. By combining historical accuracy with high-fidelity CGI, we bridged the gap between the past and the present.

STORYLINE:

The "Story of the Creek" allows visitors to sail through time. The narrative begins in the silence of the desert and the depths of the Persian Gulf, following the brave pearl divers who laid the economic foundation of the city. It traces the development of the Creek as a regional trading hub and culminates in the rise of the modern metropolis, showcasing the resilience and vision of Dubai’s people.
