In September 2021, MONTREAL, QC – STARNO.net proudly joined the Rodeo FX family. Our talented team of visual effects artists, led by Frederic St-Arnaud, founder and president of STARNO, now contributes to Rodeo FX’s matte painting department. Frederic, with more than 25 years of experience, has returned to his roots, helping elevate the department to new heights.

"We were on an exciting path at STARNO.net," says Frederic St-Arnaud. "But when Sébastien Moreau, CEO of Rodeo FX, approached me with an opportunity to merge our talents, I couldn’t resist. Our past collaboration made the decision easy, and the potential to push the boundaries of matte painting at Rodeo FX was something I couldn’t turn down."

The merging of these two teams, combining the creative strength of both studios, is a natural next step in Rodeo FX's growth. Frederic’s leadership, alongside the incredibly talented teams at both companies, promises to take matte painting to the next level. STARNO.net’s employees and current projects have now been integrated into Rodeo FX, continuing the evolution of this powerhouse studio.

While STARNO.net is no longer operational and will not be taking on new projects, we’ve chosen to maintain this site and our social media as a tribute to the work we did together. Thank you to all our clients, partners, and collaborators who helped make STARNO a truly special place.

As we reflect on our journey, we are reminded of the many projects, collaborations, and milestones that made STARNO a unique and vibrant studio. While we are no longer taking on new projects, this archive allows us to celebrate the legacy of our work and the memories we shared as a team.
