SUDDEN ATTACK 2 – CINEMATIC ENVIRONMENTS

For the promotional cinematic of Sudden Attack 2, STARNO was commissioned by Squeeze Studio to breathe life into the streets of Seoul. This project stands as a prime example of high-level studio collaboration: while Squeeze focused on the hero character, Mia, STARNO took full responsibility for the world-building and environment creation.

The mandate required the creation of ultra-realistic urban settings. Our team built the environments using a robust 3D pipeline, which was then enhanced with advanced Digital Matte Painting (DMP) techniques. This hybrid approach allowed us to add an extra layer of gritty realism and lighting complexity.

Sudden Attack 2, the sequel to one of the most popular tactical FPS titles in Asia, features intense urban warfare. The promotional cinematic follows Mia, a fan-favorite character, as she navigates the rain-slicked and dangerous streets of Seoul.
