Billie Holiday poster

FALLOUT 76

WORK DESCRIPTION:

For a series of three promotional posters for Fallout 76, the team was responsible for creating fully realized environmental backgrounds depicting the rugged Appalachian landscapes of West Virginia. Designed as post-apocalyptic outdoor settings, these environments combined mountains, forests, and atmospheric depth to reflect the visual tone and narrative world of the game.

While Reservoir Creative handled the creation of the foreground characters, the team developed all environmental elements—composition, lighting, matte painting, and visual storytelling—to support a cohesive and immersive final artwork across all three posters.

STORYLINE:

Fallout 76 is an online open-world action RPG set in post-nuclear Appalachia, where players emerge from Vault 76 to rebuild civilization just 25 years after the Great War. The game features a vast recreation of West Virginia with multiple regions, survival mechanics, dynamic events, and the option to explore either solo or with online teammates. Players can construct bases through the C.A.M.P. system, develop characters using the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. perk card progression, and engage with quests, factions, and world storytelling introduced across major updates.

Since launch, the game has expanded through major free updates such as Wastelanders, The Pitt, Atlantic City, Ghoul Within, and Burning Springs. These expansions added human NPCs, new regions beyond Appalachia, additional questlines, and new gameplay systems—greatly enriching the world and transforming Fallout 76 into a deeper and more immersive experience.
